2014 Grand Ride raises $200,000 !

We did it again! The 2014 Grand Ride is in the books!

On Saturday, almost fifty riders dodged some early rain and tackled the 120 & 80 km route through the Region of Waterloo. The Grand Ride, in support of the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, was escorted by Waterloo Regional Police and support vehicles along the route. Cyclists were encouraged by the supporters that came out to cheer us on and kept us motivated.

Your personal and corporate generosity helped me raise $6,255 toward this very worthy cause!

Ensuring our community has access to first rate cancer care close to home is the driving force behind The Grand Ride. The aches and pains from hours on the bike is a small price to pay. After the ride, three oncologists with the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre who also completed the Ride, shared with the group just how important these funds are to the patients receiving cancer treatment. Their stories of the challenges they face in treating their patients reminded us all of why the Grand Ride is so important to our community.
